are these any good?
have knee issues with both my knees are these good enough with only 9 degrees of float?? or what would you recommend instead??
are these any good?
The VP R80 pedals or any clipless pedal on giantnerd will work well for riders with knee issues. The important thing is to properly fit your bike and your cleat position on your road shoe.
are these any good?
A bike fit by someone who knows what they are doing is well worth the investment. It's amazing what just a little tweak one way or the other on your cleats, or saddle or handlebars can do for your knees and back. I know what it feels like to be fit well to my bike and I know what it feels like to fit poorly on my bike. Make sure your fit is right on and you'll be set to go!

how much riding do you do? Time atacs are amazing, lots of float but the strongest retention springs for solid climbing that I hae tried, so double bonus for your knees, the look quartz on here look quite similar but I have not tried them, if you do high mileage then you will need a road specific shoe with the largest platform possible, not available here and 500 hundred bucks are the look blades, you would be best to get the dura ace pedals on sale at giantnerd for only 220, quite a steal, best bearings you will get in a pedal, fi you have bad knees do not skimp out on your pedals and shoes, go brand name pedals and stable carbon shoes, and talk to your bike dealer and sports therapist about your position, they can check seat setback and stem length, also look at your handlebar size, if you are a bigger ride get 46, this will keep your cockpit stable and reduce stress on your knees. ty K

VP R80 Clipless Road Bike Pedals and cleats
You'll need to pick up a pair of road shoes. Road shoes feature a 3 bolt pattern that will accept the cleats that are included with the VP r80 pedals. Here's a few recommendations.

Anyone use these?
I was wondering what peoples experience with this pedal was? I'm looking into getting this pedal or the Look Keo Easy Road Bike Pedals, or the Shimano R540. Any thoughts?
Anyone use these?
I would recommend getting the Look Keo Easy Road Pedals as they only weigh 244 grams. The VP R80's weigh in at 378 grams and the Shimano R-540's weigh 330 grams. It's a good idea to use lighter components especially when they're rotational weight.
Anyone use these?
If you are looking for the "EASY" road bike pedals, these are not for you! They are very difficult to get out of and will be dangerous.
