No matter how you translate it, this Aggraziato has convinced me it's lived up to its name. I'm an older rider, who's been away from road biking for many years, my last bike was a steel frame from the 80's. My son helped me locate my next bike, my current Tomasso Aggraxiato Pro based on cost to value. I bought mine from Giantnerd June 2011 during their sale, and got a screaming deal.

I opted for the "genius build", and was pleased with the results. I expected to make a few tweaks, and it ended up only being a few; adjusting seat height and flipping the stem got me into a fit that's worked for me. To date I've put on over 1000 miles on this bike, and since its purchase have only changed saddles. I needed a bit more length and width than Tomasso's TRS saddle, changed to a GR2 and still breaking it in.

Riding a carbon frame has been an education for me. I consider myself to be an experienced rider, putting on at least 150 miles per week. The handling characteristics of the Aggraziato is significantly different over steel, so you should be prepared for it. I especially noticed this when on steep and fast downhill runs. It took me a few runs to appreciate how subtle and sensitive the handling is on this bike. As a riding friend put it, you're riding a mustang not a mare.

Where I really appreciate this bike is on climbs. With the significantly reduced weight and stiffness, I can feel the drive behind every turn of the crank. I also love the Shimano Ultegra shifters. Not having to move hands around while up on the bars is a real plus for me when I'm concentrating on the climb.

If I have any issue with the components, it would be with the brakes. I'm still unsure if it's a matter of adjustment or material, but the Tektro brakes seem to chatter a lot at times. It also might be an issue with the rim's angled sidewall causing the pad to ride up then down. I plan to continue to experiment around with pads and adjustments.

Bottom line - I'm extremely pleased with my purchase, and the positive experience I've had purchasing through Giantnerd. As my son says, "You Guys Rock!"

I received the Aggraziato a week ago and was able to assemble and adjust it in about 30 minutes. It was securely packaged and it’s Fedex tracking was easy. I was very pleased with quality of the frame, the ultegra components, and the bike’s looks. I believe Giantnerd’s “genius build” assembly fee is fair, the online purchase was hassle free and for sure, I saved a bunch of money not only on the bike but also with the nerd money. I consider myself still a beginner but this bike will take me to the next level. Today, I had my first 25 mile ride; the bike feels good although I know I have to work a bit more on the seat’s height/position. I also noticed some creak/screech noise in the carbon fork (?) (not sure if I over tighten the wheel too much). Best of all, my average speed went up!!! :)

Since my last review, my good friends at the Giant Nerd have agreed to refund to me the $79.00 that I had spent on their Genius build. The refund was provided along with their gracious apology for the difficulties that I encountered.

I received my bike this week and am most pleased with the look, feel and the quality of this product. In addition to what I paid Giant Nerd for the bike, I also paid the $79.00 suggested for their "Genius Build Service," but now believe that perhaps the "Genius" named Chris who prepped my bike may have been "off his game" when my bike arrived at your place from the plant for his magic touch.
Out-of-the-box, the tires seemed a bit "punchy" to me, so prior to my first ride, I took the bike by to visit my friend Bill at our local bike shop. As I suspected, the tires were low - 40 lbs actually instead of the recommended 110 to 120 lbs. Bill inflated them to 115lbs. As you might expect, at this juncture my "Genius Build" confidence meter was running a bit low, So ... to satisfy my mind, I had Bill go through the entire bike completely before I took it out to the road. Another expense I didn't expect. All-in-all, my Giant Nerd experience has not been crushing, but certainly not banner either. However, when Giant Nerd refunds to me the $79.00 dollars they charged for a professional service that I do not believe I received, my love for the "Nerds" will increase dramatically.

An outstanding year on the Tommaso! Fourth year of heavy use with this bike and it has never complained once. It climbed higher, descended faster and road farther than ever, and has never felt lighter or stronger. Great price, great components, great look. Always the envy of other cyclists in the group. This is a great bike!

In the 14 months that I have owned my Aggraziato, I have ridden about 9,000 kms. I would love to say that I have loved every one, but alas, I have not. The bike is so easy to ride, I find myself going a bit further or harder than I normally would. The carbon frame is very light, the componentry is great, the wheels are a good entry level set. I can guarantee that you won't find a better bike buying experience than buying this bike from Giantnerd. The price is unbeatable, the quality is outstanding, and the process is unreal
I won't say that everything has been a walk in the park, I have had issues with a mysterious creak in the frame (typical of carbon frames sometimes), but the one glaring benefit to my purchasing this product here, saved the day again.
Giantnerd is THE place to buy a bike. I cannot say enough about these people. IF you have a problem, like I did with my frame, they will livechat with you, and give solutions, strategies, and advice to help. This is over and above the buying experience, which I must say was perfect. Fast shipping, free shipping, pricematching, nerd bucks that got me a free helmet, and heartrate monitor and the idea that I can contact them and they will respond to assist.
I cannot recommend the bikes and the service enough...

Many people have admired my Aggraziato Pro as I ride past them on the roads and hills outside of Boulder. Sometimes I slow down to let them ask about it. They are amazed at the price point for what you get with the Agraziato Pro. The same componentry on much higher end bikes, the Aggraziato Pro is an accelerating machine. I put just over 2300 miles on this since I got it a little over a year ago and it runs great! A manager of a local shop from a large, nationally known cycling company wants me to bring it in so he can see it, he's heard about them. At 52 years old, this machine allows me to climb like crazy and fly on the flats. I average close to 20 mph for 30 to 60 miles. So when I go past the other higher end bikes from major manufacturers, their riders are somewhat surprised. Oh, and I love the black, unpainted carbon frame - its so slick. Why would I pay 3,000+ for another bike - so I can advertise a name? No thanks! But thanks Tommaso and Giant Nerd!

I posted last year right after I unpacked this beauty, and it's just been getting better and better (as have I, probably). I have just over 2000 miles on this badboy, and it honestly gets better and better every ride. I did the STP this summer, a 200 mile weekend, and it rocked! I also did a 125 mile weekend (the Bike MS), and this ride never let me down. I must say that I love the new color-scheme and tapered head tube, but I'm not ready to trade up just yet. If you're looking for a solid machine, in full carbon, and don't want to take out a second mortgage on your house, then this bike is the one! And GiantNerd totally rocks w/ customer service and satisfaction, by the way!

Technically, I love this bike. Any bike can have the brake-lever shifters, and MAN I like those things. Why'd I wait so long? I'm cheap. But I'm still very happy with the Aggraziato, especially since I think I got $3000 worth of bicycle for half that.

I got the older, even duller graphics, that included the grey (gray?) handle bar tape that turned out to be just gray (grey?) paint over flesh-colored tape. Now the tape is real ugly and I'll rewrap over the winter even though there are still many, many miles available on he grey (silver?) tape it came with.

If that's all that bothers me then I got a pretty good deal. I even sent a friend to GiantNerd and she bought a Tommaso too. GiantNerd never even said thanks ...

I purchased this bike on 8/16/11. When I called and place my order the guy who I dealt with was very friendly. He even upgraded my shipping for free and by 8/20 I already had my bike at the door. When I was on the phone I wanted to complete my order with my nerd dollars and found out you can not use them till your order is processed/shipping. Kind of a bummer but that’s ok, I order a bunch of stuff that I got for free and just had to pay shipping (who gives you free stuff???). With the money I saved I was able to upgrade shipping to get it at the same time as my bike.
I paid for the “genius build” and laughed that it doesn’t include the installation of the pedals when the water cages and cat eye computer were but that’s just my laziness talking because it didn’t even take 1 minute to install. I’m guessing it has something to do with the shipping process. Getting the bike up was straight forward; take bike out of box set handle bars to your liking; install seat post and adjust seat; install pedals and you are ready to go. They even give you the allen wrenches to do it.
So far I have put about 200 miles on the bike and it is very solid. I was a little concerned with the review of the RS10 rims and FSA crank online but have not had any problems with them so far. I am a novice rider and I’m still going through some minor adjustment on the bike with seat height/position, cleat position so that it is a perfect fit for me but I know that I am not going to have any issue on the 60 mile bike run I’m doing tonight.

The bike is very fast and everything you could want in a carbon road bike. The component group works very well together and the bike pedals smooth and even. The bike is setup with an aggressive geometry that allows you to get into a aero position and really fly. A great bike for at a great price. Giant Nerd service and shipment was excellent.

I bought 2 of these one was the 1.0 and the other was the standard frame. My wife had been pushing for bikes for a while. Her friends ride and race road bikes. The 1.0 went to my wife, it is the prettier of the two. Neither bike is very flashy, but I find that this actually makes them stick out juxtaposed to the sea of color of other riders.

The bikes shipped quickly. We were going out of country for a couple of weeks and were concerned that they would arrive after we left. Not only did they get here before we left, but we got in a couple of good rides. My regret is that we are very new at riding. It had been 26 years since my wife last sat on a bike. Just how nice these bikes are in a large amount are lost on us. Our frame of reference is non-existent.

There was an oopsy when we first got the bikes. With in the first 3 miles the crank arm on my wife's bike fell off. Our friends that ride had been pushing us towards more expensive LBS stocked bikes, and this shook out confidence a little, but this is the part of the story that really shines!

After pushing the bike to the car and getting home I noticed that a bolt on my bike was reamed out and the other crank arm bolts too were loose. I immediately took some pictures and contacted Giantnerd. The pictures were not necessary, the Giantnerd staff was great! They offered to replace the bikes. I thought wow, how great is that a company that is truly willing to stand behind their work and their product. Everything else on the bike seemed fine so I thought it best just to get the crank/crank arms fixed. I dropped it off at a LBS for service, picked up the bikes when we got back in town, and we have put some good miles on them. Giantnerd covered the repair and we have great bikes and renewed confidence that we made a great decision!

We have only recently started using bike shoes with Shimano 105 pedals, what a difference, and next week we get fitted. I hope to comment more once I have more experience, but I could not be happier with the bike or with Giantnerd.

One note though, the bike has been to 3 LBS until we found the shop that seems right for us, kinda like Goldie Locks testing out the beds. Each time the owners/staff had not heard of Tommaso, and each time they were impressed with the weight, components, composite, and they absolutely hated the price, $1000 less than anything comparable in their shop. Try not to brag too much about your Aggraziato, it only makes them mad :)

I bought this bike last year and it has never let me down! I got into cycling after my best friend convinced me to buy this bike. After 2 months of debate, I wished I bought the bike earlier. I have upgraded the components to 2011 shimano ultegra 6700 group sets this season and now the bike screams down the road.

I did my 1st century 3 weeks ago on this bike and the bike provided much comfort through most of the ride. Of course spending 8 hours on any saddle will hurt. :-P I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to get into cycling head first!

Great bike. Going on 3 years. Shortened stem to 90, switched out cassette to 11-28, now I'm ready for the big hills! RAMROD this month, RSVP next. Going to be a great summer with my Aggraziato!

I still just love this bike. I am riding it pretty consistently both on the trainer and now that the weather is better outside. The main thing I love is that I am not in pain after a ride (in a way) the frame dampens much of the vibrations that occur on the roads of Montgomery County, MD. I do ride hard and of course the legs and lungs do feel it.

I also live in a rolling hill area and you cannot escape them on rides and the climbing on this bike is wonderful. I also have yet to experience any shakiness on descents and I have gotten up to about 42 MPH. I did wear out my tires and have purchased new ones, but the old Hutchinsons that came with it were great. The seat is also very comfortable on the longer rides I have done (35-40 miles) plus I like the fact that the seat color and the bar tape match. I am a fan of the black/silver look and although it isn't a "flashy-splashy" look it has a bad ass Oakland Raider feel to it.

Anyway, I do suggest the Aggraziato to anyone interested and have already talked it up to anybody that comes to me with the "what type of bike should I buy?" question. I say go to GiantNerd and look at the Tommaso's but especially the Aggraziato.

Caveats first: 1) I only have 100 miles on the bike but I want to get a review in for some free stuff (we're all mercenaries in this sport), and 2) my last bike is a 20 year old Puch Mistral SLX so I cannot in any way make comparisons between this carbon bike and that one. I can compare new carbon to old steel.

The pluses: I quickly came to appreciate the smoothness of the carbon Aggraziato on level ground, and I love how firm it is when I am out of the saddle. I'm used to there being a bit of play side-to-side as I stand on the pedals, but this bike just goes straight ahead, refusing to waste my energy- very unlike the old Puch. This is also my first time with brake lever shifters and I am sorry I waited so long, but I am thrilled Shimano has finally tucked away the cables.

Also, "Aggraziato" means "graceful', not "aggressive" as I'd thought. In my mind, being graceful is much better than being aggressive. Leave that to the Jeep owners.

The minuses: The only thing I don't like is how subdued the graphics are. When the #1 comment by motorists after hitting a cyclist is "I didn't see him" I like to have as much brightness and color as I can. I imagine one day showing they judge what I was wearing when some chucklehead ran me down. The judge finds in my favor, awards me millions, and I go to France to follow the Tour (TIOOYK). But I can always wear a bright jersey (do not EVER wear a gray jersey, folks- the disappear!) and helmet, and change the dull Aggraziato handlebar tape to my own personal preferences. The frame probably doesn't figure into it that much anyway.

All told, I'm thrilled with my first all- carbon bike in general, and the Aggraziato in particular.

Bought the Aggraziato Pro last year have logged over 1500 miles on it. It's been a great bike. I have had no problems with it at all. The Pro build was as described, was able to ride it within minuets of getting it. Very fast, always passing other bikers when coasting down hill. Don't wast your money thinking an extra $1000 or more will get you a better bike, It won't.

I got my AGGRAZIATO PRO in late Feb 2011 but have only been able to ride it about 11 times due to all the lousy weather we've had lately in Memphis. However, the times I've ridden it have been great. I've had 2 other bikes w/Campy components so it took a little time to get familiar w/the Shimano Ultegra, but I've been very, very pleased with the bike. I admit I was skeptical of ordering a bike online without getting a chance to see, feel, and mount the bike, plus I was unsure what I was getting for the price! But I've been very pleased with quality of the frame and components. I would definitely purchase another bike from GiantNerd! It was a great experience and the ProBuild is definitely work the small additional cost. I've very, very pleased with the bike. Just wish the weather would improve so I could ride it more! I was thinking of buying a low-end Trek bike and somehow stumbled across Giant Nerd; I couldn't believe the prices; to get a carbon frame and Ultegra compoments for $1,300+ was incredible. I'm glad I found this place! Keith

i've had my Aggraziato for two years now. I'm actually more in love with this bike now than ever! It has never disappointed me once. Super aggressive acceleration, climbing and descents with admirable components that are holding up exceptionally well. I ride a couple hundred miles a week, with a lot more during the riding "season," and my Agg has responded to every challenge beautifully. Rode a Specialized Roubaix last fall in Hawaii and longed for my Tommaso with every pedal. I can't imagine anyone who would not fall in love with this bike!

Gotta Love it! I replaced an '87 Cannondale (yeah, I was old school) last summer and it's been amazing. Accelerates like a Chiroptera from Hades and climbs the 10-13% Colorado grades like nobody's business. My friends with Scott and Specialized bikes made fun of the compact frame, but I couldn't hear them for long - They couldn't catch up enough to get back into earshot. They also can't believe the price. Got it local in Boulder and it was tres easy. Can't beat it!

Have had this bike for 2 weeks now. Great bike at exceptional price. Comfortable, smooth - better than I imagined. Can't wait to ride more. I think I received it less than a week after I ordered it. Was assembled and easy to finish and ready to ride in no time. Highly Recommend. Am at 5'5" female at 115 pounds. The 51 fits great.

I had to switch my stem to from 100 to 90mm. Fit is dialed in now though. I love my bike.

I was an old school bike guy, Reynolds frame , Campy equipment, etc., until I met up with the Tommaso line of thinking. They have matched up a frame that eliminates hand vibration and pain, with state of the art components at a very competitive price. Responsive is what I wanted and resilience that eliminated some of the hand/ nerve issues related to steel and aluminum frames. The quality as received was excellent .
Watch out for frame size. I am 6'1, and needed to shorten the stem to 90 mm on the 58cm frame. They will not exchange parts so had to buy a new stem. I may have been a better fit on a 56cm frame, but thesize chart was my guide. Check yourself before ordering at a legit bike shop.

Just got my new bike today. The finish and detail are gorgeous and the pictures dont do the bike justice. Out of the box (not bad - looks reusable with front fork bolt mount) and ready to go in minutes. Double checked all adjustments and despite what a few other reviews have said the ProBuild did a great job. The only thing I had to change was the rear cable slack rubbing against my right foot.

Just took it out for the first spin and the ride is smooth and quick yet forgiving on road bumps, etc. Corners amazing and accelerates nicely. The 54 was a perfect fit for me at 5'9ish 170 lbs.

For a full carbon bike with 6700 Ultegra this is an incredible deal and I even had almost enough Nerd dollars to get road shoes and pedals. Im a firm believer that its a huge waste of money to buy similar frames with different names on them for thousands more (Trek, etc.).

I bought this bike on Black Friday... Giantnerd's ordering process is flawless. I ordered it and it shipped the same day. I just received my Aggraziato Pro yesterday and this bike is gorgeous! It took me a few minutes to set it up with a little help from my 10 year old son. I took it out for a spin around the block and it's faster than Forrest Gump after eating a box of chocolates. This whole process has been the best web shopping experience I have ever had. I will be buying more gear from Giantnerd. You can count on it. Nerd 4 life!!!

I got this bike a few weeks back. I've ridden it so far about 8 times and I can tell you each time is a pleasure to ride it. I was looking for an all carbon bike that would not bankrupt me. Everywhere I looked, similar bikes were about twice as much. A friend of mine got it a few weeks before I bought mine so I had a chance to test ride it. I loved it from day one... So far it has not disappointed me. Great bike for a great price...

I was dead set on getting a carbon Fiber frame/fork bike. I had been shopping aroung for over a year feeling it out, online research, stop by a few bike shops and after all my research the carbon bike dream was busted because everywhere/everybrand in a bike shope carbon fiber even with mid-grade components started at $2100-$2500 depending on the shop. Online proved to be in the same price ranges. Giantnerd popped up in my add column of facebook. So I clicked on it expecting to see more of the same. To my surprise they 3-4 carbon framed bikes in my price range so I got the quality components too. I have had the bike for 3 weeks now almost 300 miles on it and it has outperformed my expectations. The bike is much better then my riding ability but as I get better I know this bike can handle it. Shifting is smooth, Very well built, acceleration is excellent. Thank you Giantnerd for allowing me to get the quality I wanted in a bike at an half the price of the bike shop.

Being my first new road bike in the last 23 years, I was anxious but excited to get my Aggraziato Pro from the FedEx folks. I was sad to put my classic Gios Torino out to pasture, but what I found in that bad ass shipping box perked me right up. First let me say that the shipping was crazy fast, and assembling the bike once it arrived (I did pay for the ProBuild) was quick and easy! My first ride down my street was great, as I've never ridden w/ index shifting on a road bike. The Ultegra 6700 levers are amazing; everything is easier (climbing, sprinting, descending, etc.). This bike is super light, accelerates like crazy, and is so flickable and quick! It climbs like a dream, and just plain makes me a better rider. In just three weeks, I've already seen a steady increase in my average speed on repeat circuits. I don't think there's anything I'd change..... And for the price, Really?! It simply can't be beat....
