I just got this jacket, and I love it! Especially like the double flap over the zipper to keep rain from sneaking in there. I'm going in search of storms this weekend just to test this puppy out some more!

Is this really, REALLY waterproof? Not just to keep the first few drops off you, but to walk the dog in a west-coast-day-long downpour type waterproof? So many rain jackets eventually get saturated, or leak at the seams etc...

Yes it is! My first experience wearing the Venture was in a ridiculous summer east coast storm. I was outside in this jacket for 5 to 6 hours in HEAVY rain and stayed completely dry underneath. I was very impressed. This was two years ago, and to this day the Venture still keeps me dry. Give the Venture a shot I am sure it will impress you as well.
