how do these shoes fold up to the size of a lemon? i understand the concept that they're nylon and light flexible material but are they supposed to be carried around like socks or do they come with a case?

Due to their down insulation they can easily be compressed maybe even to the size of a lemon. They are great to bring on winter overnight trips or backcountry skiing hut trips. They do not come with a case.
