I received my Le Tour Elite earlier this week. I ordered it with Genius Build so it arrived in the bike box. It was packed well and was very easy to set-up for riding. The only small adjustment needed was to the brakes. So all in all Genius build was a good investment. As for the bike, what a great deal! Smooth 105/Tiagra mix. There is so much bike here for the money. Mine shipped with SPD pedals that look like they could be mountain or road.

Love my new bike, I did a lot of searching for a bike in this price range online and at LBS, and for the money you can't get a better bike. My sister has a full carbon trek and a real nice jamis cyclocross bike, I've been on both quite a bit and this bike is just as smooth. THe only issue I've had in the first 50 miles was the left shifter (controls front derailuer) downshifts a bit hard, I adjusted the derailuer and it is much better but still isn't perfect so will probably take to LBS for a quick fix. Other than that I love it, smooth ride thanks to the carbon, really smoth shifting in rear thanks to shimano 105, fast and light. Perfect for me. Sure for more money you can get a lighter bike but I got a medium (54cm) and it weight in at 21 lbs (without pedals/deflectors) which is light enough for me to do some charity rides and small amature races. Plus the bike does come with clipless pedals, they aren't top of the line but they do the job with no problems and saved me some money so for me it's a nice bonus! LOVE MY SCHWINN> thanks giantnerd!

I'm new to cycling so take this review with a grain of salt. I started with a used bike just to see if I would like to ride without investing a lot of money. I found out that I really enjoy cycling so I started shopping around for a better bike. This Le Tour Elite had everything I was looking for in a road bike. The sizing chart that is posted is incorrect, there are other charts out there so just google the bike and you should find one. I'm 6'1" with a 34.5" inseam and the XL fits just right. I originally wanted a large but they were out of stock, but after finding the correct sizing chart I ordered the XL and am glad I did. The bike comes with the clipless pedals like the picture shows, don't pay attention to the comments below from the staff because they don't have a clue. Don't expect them to right this either, I've emailed several times and tried to call but no one answers. So I had to go out and buy some bike shoes just to be able to ride this bike. I like the shoes but it's an extra 90 bucks that I hadn't planned on spending. I did not get the Genius build, from what I read it's just a better box and the build is not worth the money. The bike needed the front brake installed, the stem and handlebars installed and the seat installed. The front hub was way too tight and needed adjusted. Rims were fairly true and the back brake needed adjusted. The derailleurs needed tweaked too, but I would have done that anyway. The bike rides good and handles better then my old used Schwinn. It does have a carbon seat post, carbon seat stays and a carbon fork. The seat was very uncomfortable for me, so I've ordered a Specialized seat from Performance. The bike is well made and the welds are all smooth and the paint is flawless. Overall a great deal for 649, though I see the price is higher now even with the discount. It took 7 days to be delivered, one extra day was because I wasn't around to sign for the bike. Fedex won't let you pick it up, it has to be delivered and signed for.

Nice bike but why does the Giantnerd raise the price from $629 three weeks ago to $649 two weeks ago and now raised to $699 just to give a 15% discount? When this bike was $629 the Giantnerd also offered a 15% off discount. Why don't they just put the right price on it and forget the pricing/discount games? Bikes worth $550 now that it's 2 model years old.
