I can't speak for everyone, but for me and my brother we both use these type of tires for our mountain bikes. We enjoy riding through trails that throw every type of terrain at us. With that said...these slime tires SUCK!! It usually last us around 1-2 months before springing a flat. The first flat was a mystery...we still have no idea what caused it, but the second flat occurred from the air valve. Some how they were twisted possibly from a air pump, but the entire valve came off the tube itself...This is a first in all the time I've been biking.

I had them on my Hybrid when I did a 55 mile ride at the beginning of the season this year. I got a pinch flat on a pothole and the tube went immediately flat. I got off the bike and used an air cartridge, not a hand pump, to blow it back up. The next rest stop, where I was meeting my group was still about 5 miles away and I made it there without a problem, something that couldn't have happened with a regular tube. We were about one third of the way into the ride at that rest stop. When I got there it wasn't flat but I did have to pump it up again, with a hand pump this time. I pumped it up once more and made it to the end of the ride.

I do not have them on my road bike. Usually I carry two spare tubes and an air cartridge kit and just change the tube, which I can do in about 15 minutes.
