The bottom of the boot is where the magic happens. The outsole is made of non-marking Contagrip for superior traction and grip while the midsole is made from molded, super-cushioned EVA and Dual Density EVA to add some spring to your step. The upper is made of water resistant textile with a GORE-TEX membrane that is completely waterproof, highly breathable and durable. For a snug and secure fit, the Salomon’s Sensifit Technology and Quicklace system allows for one-pull adjustability. Made to dominate all things wet and rugged, this shoe will take you where you’ve never gone before.

I got a pair of Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra 2 gtx mid and they squeak like crazy. I have tried baby powder, sand paper, and WD40, nothing works. If they did not squeak I would give them 4 stars.
