I own a pair of these and the earlier version. Both work great, but I much prefer the 2 because its lacing slider is smaller and easier to tuck into the tongue pocket. The one thing I don't like about them is that you can't change the lacing pattern. Aside from that, they're absolutely fine. They hold up well, and they dry fast. Wear them with neoprene socks and you won't need to shell out for the GTX version if you want to run in the winter.
