I actually use these to referee soccer on grass fields and get excellent grip and can run for ever. The shoes are extremely light, and have a great fit due to the Quicklace system. Couldn't be happier and I've used these for 2 soccer seasons so far, which is about 60 games at 90 minutes per game. They show very little wear other than dirt, but you can clean them up pretty easily too. Buy them if you are in the market for something in this realm!

The fit and quality of the Speed Cross 2 is top-notch. They are lightweight for the rugged shoe that they are and provide plenty of traction for the trails less traveled. I have gone through many miles in many different shoes starting in the late 90's with the Marine Corps to recently when I traveled to Brazil to face rugged mountain hikes. These have been my favorite shoes to date. They are snug for a reason so make sure you get the right size try a half size larger. Enjoy!

Lots of support and comfort for serious trail runners.

I have to say...based solely on looks I would buy a pair of these and I don't do any trail running, or have ever tried a pair on. I imagine myself conquering Mt. Lassen in these bad boys. Using my huge bulging shredded calves...twisting veins about to explode from blood pump...and barely breaking a sweat because of the Solomon Speed Cross 2's....yeah...that'd be sweet!

I have an addiction to trail running shoes. I've tried more than I can remember. These are by far my favorite. They grip on everything, rocks, roots, hard pack, sand, thin mud...they are awesome. Only negative is the tread is so soft (which is why it grips so well on rocks etc) that it wears quicker than most shoes. I think it's well worth the trade-off for the amazing grip. If you do any automotive track stuff, these things are like R-Comps for your feet!
