Position: PHP Developer and Social Networking Guru Location: Boulder, CO
Expectations: Ideal candidate is extremely hard working, extraordinarily talented, entrepreneurial, THINKS OUTSIDE THE BOX, has great problem solving skills excellent intuition for user interface, and is extremely passionate about open source applications, web 2.0, mobile applications, social networking and social commerce. You will be a driving force to develop, test, and execute tomorrow’s viral loops and social commerce community and integrate applications to the social web.
Desired Requirements/ Responsibilities:
- At least 2-5 years experience developing software applications in a commercial or institutional environment
- Design, Develop & Maintain Social Networking E-Commerce Site in an Open Source Environment.
- Partner with designers and product managers to implement new features and ideas for optimizing the user's shopping experience.
- MySQL with performance tuning and scalability
- Working with 3rd party ecommerce applications
- PHP: PHP5 development with a focus on re-usability and portability
- Object Oriented Programming / Design
- Writing and consuming web services with PHP
- E-COMMERCE: Experience with Magento or other PHP based e-commerce system
- XHTML, DHTML, JavaScript and secure coding techniques
- AJAX , Web Forms and XML Web Services
- Experience developing within PHP CMS based applications (Joomla, Drupal, etc.) XML, XSLT
- Subversion for Source Control
- Experience working with a PCI Compliant E-Commerce Sites.
- Great design sense and an excellent intuition for user interface (experience using Photoshop & Illustrator a plus)
- Work with: PHP5, Javascript, MYSQL, HTML, CSS, XML. Magento E-commerce Platform, Security & PCI Compliance, SSL, HTTPS, AJAX Certs, Web Services, Gateway Integration, Linux Red Hat, Netsuite (is a plus), CMS, Social Networking API ( Facebook, Twitter, Etc), Site Analytics
- Passionate and excited about technology, web scale architecture, web 2.0, social commerce, mobile applications, RIAs, E-commerce, data analytics and data warehousing;
- A gear and/or outdoor enthusiast (Not required but it doesn't hurt!) If you're not passionate about the outdoors then tell us what you are passionate about.
- Incredible experience and references.
- Enjoys working with the latest technologies, 3rd party applications, and social networking apps and wants to push the edge of web development
- Believes the best applications can be developed inexpensively and have yet to be developed
- Ability to drive projects through to completion on time/on budget, with or without supervision
- Can communicate technical difficulties in a productive manner
- Clear and useful code documentation
- Aptitude for learning new technologies and adapting to changes in process or requirements
- Must be a team player and enjoy collaboration with excellent communication skills, creativity and innovative thinking
- Comfortable presenting complex technical ideas and business topics to team members
- Self starter/motivator
- Creative and effective problem solving skills (believes in the impossible and looks to find solutions)
- Ownership and pride in your work is a must
