There is a breaking process with any cycling shoe. The leather will eventually loosen and mold to your foots specific shape. A couple of suggestions for you: look into purchasing a foot bed. Something from Superfeet will work great. remove the original foot-bed and add the Superfeet foot bed. Also, foot tingle and ache could be related to cleat/pedal position. Pearl Izumi devotes a lot of time into R & D for all their products. Were positive if you look into some of our suggestions and give the shoe some time to break-in they will fit great.

How long of a breaking process? My feet are in a good amount of pain throughout the process and I can't imagine another spin session wearing these! This last session I loosened them significantly. I'm not thrilled about spending this amount of money on a shoe, only to have to purchase a different foot bed. I know this is a good brand with good reviews - that's why I purchased them. I'm just wondering if perhaps they are too narrow for my feet? If that's the case, the leather can only loosen so much to mold to my foot.
