This short makes my perineum area very sore! No matter how I adjust the saddle, there is too much thick, soft padding in the sensitive tissue area! I have had multiple shorts from multiple companies; I have also had multiple saddles designs; I finally got comfortable with the Selle Anatomica saddle. I know that it is possible to get comfortable with a saddle and other pairs of shorts. But when I bought the PI Women's Pro Intercool Bib Short I was very uncomfortable!

I had already spent a considerable amount of ride time tuning in the above saddle; then I bought the PI short and was miserable. I tried re-adjusting the saddle, but nothing worked. After comparing the PI pad to my other shorts, I determined that a thinner, denser pad is better than a thicker. softer pad. I have gone back and forth between the PI short and other brands and I am sure that it's the PI short that's the problem! [I think it worked that way for the saddles I tried as well (Selle Anatomica is a radically different engineered saddle than most padded saddles).]

Also, worth noting: On the lower part of the short (red, horizontal panel) is a band that wraps around the middle part of the thigh; it is very tight and doesn't stretch much (probably to support the thigh)! If your thigh measures more than 18" while standing, you may be uncomfortable. I bought a Small. I'm 5'2", 116 lbs, 49.5 yrs old, and very fit (I ride about 1,000 miles a month).

This is a very good-looking short and very well-made, but the bib straps make it really difficult and impractical to relieve yourself!

I would not recommend these shorts at all!
