I was looking for a jacket that was light enough to wear for both late fall/early winter and on a cold, windy winter day. It is currently mid December and the jacket has been wonderfully warm for the cold frosty mornings with temps around the low 40's. I have even worn it in the rain about mid 50's and had no issue of it being too hot. I am taking it to MI over Christmas to test it out a bit more. It blocks the wind nicely and the rain beads up when it drizzles. The hood is a perfect fit but would never fit with a helmet, but I didn't buy it for that purpose. I bought it for a nice looking outdoor jacket for around town or on a hike. I have already received multiple compliments on the look of the jacket, which tells me a lot about the overall design.
I bought a medium Bonfire grill/ Gray and I am 5'10" 170lbs. It fits great all around. I think the bottom could be a little lower, but it is not at all too tight and fits loose enough for me to wear it as a stand alone or as a layer under a waterproof shell. I highly recommend this jacket.
