The pinn'r is a badass freeride bike. Don't listen to anyone(like Sina) who knocks the pro-line(mongoose.com) Mongoose bikes. Saying Mongoose is crap is saying all the other bikes from Dorel are crap. Mongoose was one of the most popular brands of bikes in the 80's and 90's and it made sense to create a line of bikes everyone knew and could afford. It only helps Dorel reduce the cost of their highend Mongoose bikes because they generate more revenue with the low-end bikes....it's called Economics and obviously some folks need to go back to school. If you can grab this bike for the price giantnerd is asking for I'd buy it. I had a Teocali and the frame was a freedrive system too and with a little customizing I took mine to Whistler 4 times and never had issues. The Pinn'r is by far a huge step up from the Teocali.

I am new to the Freeride world. I have only ridden hardtail bikes. My other bike is a Jamis Komodo. I bought my Pinn'r from this sight about a month ago. I got the bike for $1099 which is a great price. I paid $79 for the bike to be built. the shipping was free. I received a 90% assembled bike in 5 days. The bike was packaged well and the assembly was very simple. Awesome job Nerds
As for the bike, I have never had more fun on a bicycle. I have read that full suspension bikes are hard to pedal on flat gorund and when climbing. The Pinn'r is not, the "Free Drive " system works. I ride across town to my local trails this is about 3/4 of a mile each way. No problems here. I climb on the bike, do cross country. This bike does everything my Komodo does, but is more fun. As for the weight that everyone complains about, I haven't really noticed this when riding the bike. I am very happy with the service of this sight and this Mongoose product. My only concern now is that Mongoose is no longer importing bikes into the U.S. I don't know what this means for parts replacement etc....

I know plenty about bikes my friend. Me and my dad combined own two rocky mountain flatlines, I ride a trek fuel and a iron horse sachem as my BS bike both I bought myself and my dad rides a scott genius LT. I know probably more about bikes then you do big guy. I dont give two **** who you race for and mongoose walmart bikes are a complete other division of mongoose. They put alot of work into there big boy bikes. You still dont understand pricing on bikes. Mongoose makes AFFORDABLE downhill machines that can be upgraded. If you want a top of the line one go ahead save the money up and buy the Romo edition, with the best of the best parts. Have you even been on mongooses official site? Doubt it. You call me a troll when I gave you perfectly good explanations why they used the parts they did. This is a bike that can handle what ever you throw at it. Thats why Steve Romaniuk rides for mongoose and he sends it off some of the crazy stuff in the world so I think you need to do your research on your bicycles before you start "trolling." ;) (P.S. Im 19 almost 20 the kid thing not needed. I live in prescott AZ and gurantee I could smoke your ass on a bicycle)

Your a fool buddy who clearly knows jack about bikes. Mongoose has never made good bikes well not recently their track record speaks for themselves. If you sell bikes at wal mart than you pretty much sold your soul to the devil. I really hope no one takes your review seriously and bought this bike. Ok, so the guy below has no idea about bikes at all. The douche likes ****ing bighits hes a noob. So Im going to review everything that he said. He said the vanilla is not as good as the dhx 4.0. They discontinued the 5.0 and 4.0 and replaced the 5.0 with the RC4 and replaced the 4.0 with the vanilla, which is the same if not better. If Sina knew anything about bikes he would know that any baseline bike uses the vanilla, even specialized uses it. for there demo. The domains are also decent coil and oil forks not the best but you realized totems and talas forks cost more so the price would then have to go up. The free drive is a thing of its own. The bike has been said it pedals better than any other bike on the market. Someone who only likes specialized is a poser. 2400 for a freeride bike is a amazing deal try finding other new freeride bikes would be really tough. This is a baseline bike Sina is expecting top of the line. Dont listen to the ****got.

So I've never been a mongoose fan and i have my reasons and they're darn good reasons. The main one is price 2300 for a freeride bike is not bad but the components it comes with to me just don't cut it. The rear shock is a vanilla....they could have put in a dhx 4.0 at least as for the front why not have just gone with totems talas? and sram x-7!!! that they could have upgraded i mean i had x-7s on my 2006 big hit. Im also not sure what mongoose free-drive is but it looks to me as if the bike is a single pivot overall not worth the money id rather get a used specialized or something better than a mongoose.
