Marin Bikes Nail Trail 29er Mountain Bike (Cross Country)
When you're cranking up hills and navigating descents, the Marin Nail Trail 29er Mountain Bike is your trusty steed in these alpine adventures. Part of Marin's 29ER series, the performance oriented geometry gives you efficient energy transfer when you're churning your gears up a steep and stability during descents thanks to the bigger 29" wheels for crushing rocky terrain. Crafted with Marin 6061 Aluminum 29er and Triple Butted Hydro-Edge II Top and Down Tubes that is easy on the poundage but maximizes responsiveness as well as Double Butted E4 Anti-Flex Seat and Chain Stay. For smoother sailing, the Fox 32 F29 RL Suspension Fork with 100mm of travel and with Rebound Adjustment, Lockout, and Air Spring Preload takes the edge off the rocks and roots.
The Nail Trail incorporates Shimano components including the Shimano Shadow XT rear derailleur with Shimano SLX 2 Way Release 10-speed shifters and Shimano SLX 3x10 front derailleur. The Shimano HollowTech II Crankset 3x10 Speed is merited for its extremely light weight (it's hollow!) but superior strength and smooth, efficient shifting. Finishing off the Nail Trail are the powerfully responsive Avid Elixir R Hydraulic Disc Brakes.

There are quite a few discrepancies between the description, written specs in the description and the detailed Specs, so I am not sure what to expect with this bike. Also, one of the questions that was answered mentioned Mavic rims, but the picture shows the Black Flag expert wheelset, and the specs actually make no reference to a wheelset. I was really drawn to this bike with the black flag wheels, not so much if it is the entry level mavic stuff. Is it possible to get an idea of what actually comes with the bike. Thanks.

Hey Mike,
We have not built one of these up yet to get an accurate weight so I cannot provide that number to you at this moment. I saw online that someone weighed theirs at 27.2 lbs and someone else said their 19" was 25.5 lbs, hope that helps. I can also tell you that the rims are Mavic XM-119, 32 Hole Disc rims and the rear derailleur is the Shimano Shadow XT rear derailleur.

Hi, I am looking at some of the bikes you are selling on Amazon. Why the big price difference, for example the Marin Bikes Nail Trail 29er is 1747 on Amazon, and 1499 on your site. The issue is I have Amazon gift cards, so I cannot purchase the bike from your site.
