Marin Bikes Mount Vision XM8 Mountain Bike (Downhill/Freeride)
For touring the entire mountain, you need a bike that can not only handle the rough, but can take the caliber of your ride to another level. The 2011 Marin Mount Vision XM8 Mountain Bike is designed to meet your standards of terrain-crushing. This all mountain is structured with a Marin 6066 Aluminum Fully Hyrdoformed Mainframe that uses XM geometry that allows riders to hammer up hills and cruise down descents. The elevated Swing Arm Quad-link 2.0 140mm Suspension System kills it over rocks, roots and mud pits by transferring energy directly to the rear wheel. The Fox 32 Float RL Fit 140mm Suspension Fork is accentuated with the 1 1/8” to 1.5” Tapered Steerer for precision control.
The Mount Vision XM8 integrates Shimano components, including the Shimano Shadow XT Rear Derailleur with Shimano XT 2-way Release 10-speed shifters and Shimano XT 3x10 front derailleurs. The Shimano XT Crankset are merited for their smooth shifting while their Hollowtech II arms cuts down on poundage because they are, well, hollow! Finally, the Mount Vision XM8 is finished with the powerfully responsive Avid Elixir R Hydraulic Disc Brakes.
