great deal on a great bike
Well i can see that this thing is all sold out now, and for good reason. The price was great. The shipping was very fast (I chose the 10-14 day option but it arrived in Florida from Colorado in 4 business days). I chose the Ultegra upgrade and was not disappointed.
Thanks Giantnerd!
Wonder why is it so cheap!
Customer service and shipping were flawless. In 5 days, i received my bike in mint condition. kudos giantnerd and fedex. I managed to fix the bike into ride-ready condition in a few minutes. But honestly, some instructions will definitely be helpful. Some things in the package, i really have no idea what are they for. So felt apprehensive while assembling cos worried if the mentioned parts should (or not) be in the bike. Worried too if the absence of these parts will compromise safety.
I paid for the genius build. Well it was built just 'ok'. Went for my first ride, the shifter cable 'popped' out. So had to get a mechanic to fix it and truly tune the bike 'more properly' for riding. The mechanic had to adjust my brakes, cables, derailluers. So after an extra $30, the ride felt much better.
Honestly, the deal was quite a steal. The local kuota supplier was shocked at the price and he had reservations, telling me it could be a chinese fake. so now, yes, i am hoping that truly it is not. and truly, it was sold at a closeout price. What got me worried was there was no Kuota certificate of authenticity that comes with the package (not sure if there is one actually) is there are serial number somewhere on the bike I can check?
But generally, it was a amazing deal topped by excellent customer service! I love dealing with giantnerd and I am very sure that they place customers above everything else. this is how business should be. Wishing them good luck and p r o s p e r r r r r rrrrrrr!!!
Love LOVE my new bike. Very well packaged and timely delivery. Sweet bike for the $. Best deal in town. Could have asked for more but then i would have to pay more. So HAPPY with the purchase.
I ordered the 6700 mix over the SL for my wife and think it was worth the upcharge. The listed spec on Giantnerd is for the SL mix. The bike we got had the obvious 6700 derailleurs as well as a Kuota CK03 crank. The CK03 appears to be a rebranded Truvativ Rouleur Carbon. The aero-bars were a T2+ instead of the pictured T1+. The Kuota brakes appear to be a rebranded Tektro R540. Very happy with the bike itself and the price Giantnerd is offering it at. To me the weakest part of the bike are the wheels and tires. The crank has some iffy reviews too but we won't replace it as long as it behaves.
The genius build I am a bit conflicted on ... it appears to be an okay basic build. The builder slathered grease on the carbon seatpost instead of a carbon grip compound which was annoying. The Veloskin Box - which was the key selling point for selecting the genius build - was labeled BAMF and was previously used.
Just purchased this bike. Shipping was perfect and they package the bike very well. I am amazed at the quality of this bike and the components. I will be getting fitted to the bike this week by a professional and will be ready to get down to some serious training. This has to be the best bargain out there for Tri-bikes less used.
Hey Guys ,
I'm wondering whether I should go for this full carbon frame Tri Bike. I'm new to biking and had no other bikes other than my BMX which is kind of small for me. I love riding on a long distance and at a fast speed that's why i'm changing to a road/ tri bike. Price is a major factor for me as i'm still a student but of course , pay for what you get. If its just $100-200 more i think I will save for it.
Thanks for your time!:)
I bought the Kuota K Factor on a Monday night it was at my house on Thursday afternoon with the 10-14 day shipping. The LBS finished out the build and FIT me to the bike. In perfect condition and looks great. Ended up saving $1000 compared to buying it from my LBS. I ordered the bike with Ultegra 6700 and it came with T2+ areo bars instead of the T1+ pictured, only difference I saw. I am 5' 11" with a 32" inseam and fit me great with still plenty of room to get more aggressive with the aero position in the future. My brother ordered one 24hrs later and had the same experience.
Wonderful Bike with Lightning fast shipping
Ordered the Kuota K-Factor on Monday morning and received by Thursday afternoon with 10-14 days free shipping! Giantnerd is absolutely fast with their services. I ordered some pedals from other place and the pedals arrives a week later than my bicycle. The only thing I could do was starring at my newly arrived bicycle wishing I ordered the Pedals from Giantnerd instead. The genius build was great, I built my bike in less than 20 minutes. It's really worth the extra money. I highly recommend it. Kuota K-factor rides great, it's one of the best valued entry level carbon fiber Tri bike I've found. What a great deal. Thank you Giantnerd.
K Factor....Great bike! Great Service
This bike is great! I rode it in a Half-Ironman in Boulder, Colorado over the weekend. The frame is light and can be put in a very aggressive aero position or a more comfortable position so it can be used by almost anyone. Not only did Giantnerd give me a great deal but they fit me for the bike when I was in Boulder and shipped the bike home for me after the event. These guys are awesome. Now I can order new pedals with my Nerd Dollars. Thanks Mike!
Very impressed with the service. I ordered the bike (no genius build) on a Friday and got it on the following Wednesday. The Bike is awesome and the price is simply unbelievable! Great buy and great service! For the money, the frame is outstanding, decent components, with okay training wheels. The crankset could be better, but it's still good and solid. Without the genius build, the bike came with the headset and bottom bracket installed. The bike came disassembled in the factory box and was well packaged.
GREAT SERVICE! Used two day shipping because of my impulse for instant gratification and the Genius Build. It was out of the box and on the road in 30 minutes. (If I would have known what I was doing it would have been 15 minutes.) Surfed the net long and hard and found this one. Good entry level tri-bike at a really good price. Knocked a total of 12 minutes off of my duathon time first time out. Now to find a deal on some wheels and pedals.
I just got this bike as an upgrade to my old aluminum frame. It's a great bike which can stand head to head with other $2000 + full carbons, but is offered at a price that makes it reasonable even as an entry tri-bike.
I live in Louisiana and received this bike in six days which includes a weekend. I never rode a tri-bike and was able to hit the streets for over 20 miles my first ride. My neck and behind were sore, but I feel this is one hell of a bike. Not the best components but they are definitely good enough for someone starting out and perhaps good enough for some more seasoned riders.
