Zipin-Compatibility? Does this NF Danali fleece jacket zip-in to the North Fae Triclimate jackets, specifically, the Boundary jacket. Or, if an under-layer fits one Tricilmate, will it fit them all?

Zip-in compatibility Does this (zip-in-compatibility) mean the carmel jacket will zip-in seamlessly (pun intended - the zipper is a substantial seam) with the North Face Triclimate jackets of the same size?
I gave my wife a Triclimate Boundary jacket for Christmas (Bantam Blue). It was on sale for $199, marked down from $250, and is a great coat. However: 1) the inner layer of fleece if not heavy enough when the weather hits the mid-20s and below, especially if it's windy. The carmel jack would appear to provide maximum warmth if it was used as an occasional replacement for the fleece that came with the jacket, and;
2) My 14 year-old daughtr unripped, that is, removed, the inner layer and has worn it to school *every day*. (What is it with kids to wear the same thing *every* day? She has many nice alternatives.) I believe it may be the North Face Osita fleece.
My questions:
1. Is the carmel down jacket the right joice for: A. compatibility, b) maximum warmth
2. What are some other North Face underlayers that are compatible with this Triclimate jacket?
3. Is there a way to modify your child's behavior i haven't thought of we haven't thought of. We don't believe in corporal punishment, but we can't her to do anything, from her homework to dressing appropriately to dropping a loser "boyfriend." Would anyone be interested in a trade, straight up?

Superior, warm fleece. A steal at this price.
I was given an R4 for Chrismas, in gray. It has a roomy fit, although that often is because I am often right between an L and XL (6 2, 200). This is a very warm jacket. It has become my coat of choice when grabbing a jacket to spenda half-an-hour outside, even if it's in the teens. (If it's windy I wear a coat with a hood.) I think you'd have to go to a down jacket to have something warmer, and then only if it was 500-fill or above.
The big advantage a fleece is that it's much more comfortable in warmer wearther than down. I've spent half a day outside with the temps in the mid to high 40s, maybe hitting 50, and not overheated. It blocks the wind very effectively, as advertized, although it's my head that gets coldest in wind, and I need a hat or a hoodie as a upplement.
Contruction is superior, as is generally true for Patagonia. I think they do make the nicest fleece. Still, $250 seemed like a lot. I have to believe that some of those dollars are for the name. If it hadn't been a gift from a loved one, I would have sent it back for that price. $200 seems about right. For $159, I'd jump on it. There's probably only about six weeks of weather left to wear it, but about nent Novemember, I suspect this will be a favorite. In fact, if you have the patience, buying it for a loved one for next Christmas would give you a fantastic gift to sit on for 9 or so months.
