Bobby Miller...grow the F up kid

Your a fool buddy who clearly knows jack about bikes. Mongoose has never made good bikes well not recently their track record speaks for themselves. If you sell bikes at wal mart than you pretty much sold your soul to the devil. I really hope no one takes your review seriously and bought this bike. As for being a poser cause i like specialized lmfao you make me laugh man. I have a specialized because Id rather have a bike that can take the abuse i throw at it. PS ****GOT I RACE FOR MY SCHOOL AND HAVE A THIRD PLACE WEST COAST CHAMPIONSHIP AWARD UNDER MY BELT so suck it go check out my facebook add me too and you can have a look at it under my pics for yourself ;). This is not a baseline bike you dumb **** its a wal mart bike any idiot with common knowledge would know how low quality mongoose is. your a troll and above all NOT A FELLOW MTBER SO NO ONE NEEDS TO RESPECT YOUR COMMENT GTFO NOOB

great shoes

we sold a lot of these at my class not just for biking but also for some sort of class called twining or something? i forgot but the customers would always tell me how comfortable they are even when they use them as regular shoes and they look good too. not like some of the other ones that look like they are plastic invaders from outer space.

Posted 12.06.10

I dont know about these

the spacing in the teeth just seems so unusual that its as if its going to slip on you or something constantly. I didnt like the feel of it personally i mean they say its better for shifting but i saw no difference in it vs my 40 dollar cog set. If it was titanium then maybe id still be interested but its not. :(

avg rack

your basic rack although im pretty sure we sell them cheaper at the store i work at. But nonetheless if your looking for something real basic and sturdy this is it. It gets the job done and doesnt come with too many attachments to hook up to the bike with.

Posted 12.06.10

it works

Nothing special about it really but it works just as well as any degreaser. We used it at the shop a lot but when we switched it up with some park tools products no difference was seen. good price tho.

coolest tool possible

i was lucky enough to try one of these out from a friend and they are pretty bad ass. I mean its just a tool but it has almost every possible drill bit u would need to work on a bike out of home. It even has a handy shock pump for air shocks. the price isnt bad either.

uncomfortable

so i have used one of these for DH freeriding for almost 2 years and at first i liked it because it was small and portable but that alone caused other issues. like the straps they were so thin and no pads on them that they would dig into my skin and leave rashes when i sweat under my jersey. it also didnt comform very well to my back and got very annoying when coming down hill because it would move side to side a lot.

Posted 12.06.10

ummm no

for the price it just looks like an oversized hydration pack which i know thats what it is. BUT!! look at the dakine nomad for a second that is a hydration pack and a backpack which looks more like a bag and more comfortable. It just overall looks like it has more cushion than this flimsy camelback. Dont get me wrong great product but ive always seemed to have an issue with camelback and their straps.

Posted 12.06.10

good bag

the only difference between this and the nomad are side pockets and the nomad comes with armored straps w.e that means and more water storage. Aside from that its the same bag and id say this is a pretty descent bag too but i prefer to spend the extra cash and get the extra stuff cause overall they are amazing backpacks and why not just get the best? if not and you prefer the looks of the drafter it is still a good catch for your buck.

Posted 12.06.10

sweet deal

for the price it gets the job done. You really dont need much more other than 8 functions and you dont need one of those fancy wireless ones. Cateye always does a good job with their products.

Posted 12.06.10

cant complain

Sram never really fails with they products. I have these on my demo and they are pretty bad ass ive only had a problem with them once and that was just cause it was brand new and the cables got loose sooo not the shifters fault lol. Theyve been great i had x-7 prior and both seem to be really smooth.

Posted 12.06.10

NO

DONT EVER BUY PLASTIC PEDALS THATS ALL I HAVE TO SAY

Posted 12.06.10

descent deal

We sold these at my bike shop and i got a lot of customers who swore by them. They are really easy to clip into and out since they are basically run by spring. And when clipping out all u do is twist to get out. they look pretty clean too. i would first try to get them from a shop cause i do know we had older models for $50 not 89 just a heads up.

Posted 12.06.10

i dont know what all the craze is

yeah theyre good pedals but thats if you dont care about the weight at all cause these things are effin heavy. I had them on my big hit and compared to what i have now wellgos on my demo they were very very heavy pedals. I dont recommend them really and they shred your shins apart if you fall on them. Another huge con is mud gets stuck in between them and its such a pain to get out when it dries. they look cool but they arent practical at all

Posted 12.06.10

...

these were alright i bought them to go along with my launch pads but just like the launch pads they were a tad bit uncomfortable when riding and dont really stay put very well. For the price id honestly say id rather just get a set of 66ones

Sram x.0 or XTR??   What is a better derailleur for DH or are they both pretty unison in comparison?

Posted 12.04.10

ftw

Sram always knows what they're doing id rather a short cage but long will work its still durable.

Posted 12.04.10

good job fox

if theres one thing they can make is gloves. Ive never went wrong with any fox gloves they've all been amazing and dont stretch like others.

Posted 12.04.10

fits weird

So im not sure what it is with fox but i didnt like the launch knee pads and neither the launch suit. this suit fitted weird basically the neck part would stick out and it was just extremely uncomfortable with a jersey on top. not just that but one of the bolts came off the spine protection :(

Posted 12.04.10

meh

soo i had these for about 2 years and i always had an issue with them staying put. I hear people talking about how they stay strapped in so well but i disagree. they tend to slide especially if you wear them while riding up and they eat away at the top of your foot cause their plastic or w.e its made out of. they look cool and definitely work when crashing but id say spend some more money and get the brian lopes troy lee designs they are awesome.

Posted 12.04.10

amazing pump

We used these in my old bike shop great pump never let us down. we even had two of the blowjoe pumps and they died before the blackburn definitely worth it.

Posted 12.04.10

slime   has anyone ever actually had a time where this stuff worked?

Posted 12.04.10

summer or winter   that and there also ultra wicking

Posted 12.04.10

summer or winter   yeah definitely not a cold weather sock it says it has mesh top for breathability so im sure it will get cold quick

Posted 12.04.10

dakine nomad straps   what exactly are the armour straps?

Posted 12.04.10

Tommaso Mondial for First Road Bike?   mondial is a great bike but i would go for a better frame because components can always be upgraded

Posted 12.04.10

chain   Yes like Michael said a chain checker tool is a great investment i bought one for my shop cause we didnt have one and have been using it non stop its a great tool and helps keep you on track with when you need it replaced.

Posted 12.04.10

What makes these "Bronco" gloves?   yeahh not a big fan of that color scheme

Posted 12.04.10

What is the best bike lock to use?   On Guard Bull Dog is a pretty good brand but what i did is just went to the home depot and bought a thick chain that wraps around my waist. That way when you buy a lock you can just wear it as a belt. its just as heavy and a lot easier to handle. I use it around my $3000 bike i ride to school with too lol.

Posted 12.04.10

1 or 2?   Yeah whenever you buy warmers they always come in packs of 2. Especially for mountain biking.
