Solid Bike

Overall, I think this is a solid beginner level bike. We bought this for my Wife after enjoying my own carbon fork Imola. The feel of the materials and componentry used is pretty good, welds on the frame look decent and the ride feel of the bikes are pretty nice. The fact that this has a steel fork compared to my carbon one doesn't seem to add too much weight difference, while still delivering the goods for dampening road buzz. the aesthetics are nice, and my Wife loves the female-specific saddle. The only negatives I need to mention are the build up with the 'genius build'. It took quite a while for this second order to be fulfilled, as I know Giantnerd was super busy trying to get the orders built and shipped. However, this bike did not arrive in the advertised veloskin box, as my previous purchase did, and thus, was slightly less built up. Not a big deal...BUT, it is worth mentioning that BOTH the right side seat-stay, and the chain-stay were depressed (i.e. dented) , on the inside of both tubes upon arrival. I realize this is NOT in the design and were probably introduced during the 'genius' build-up. I emailed GN on the 5th of July with NO response so far, barring the automated...someone will get in touch with you shortly...initiated after any correspondence. I see that they are sold out of the size we ordered, as these bikes were very popular. So far, the dents in the frame haven't equated to any problems when riding, I would just like to see GiantNerd follow up with this and not slip in their customer service department. Because I believe they are highly regarded in this area. Again, thanks for a great value, and a great bike...
