Awesome vest keeps my neck warm
I checked out a bunch of down vests before I decided to invest in this one. It's just like Patagonia's down sweater but without the sleeves! It lofts up great providing plenty of insulation. I especially like the thick collar that when zipped up keeps my skinny neck warm and toasty.

Looks great but fits strange
I'm not sure I like this jacket... I love the color and the look (pocket layout, hood, etc) however the arms are extremely long. I have relatively long arms (I need 34" sleeves on 15" neck dress shirts) but the ones on this jacket are excessive. Even during ice climbing, the arms were longer than they needed to be. I had them shortened 3 full inches by a goretex repair shop and now they are perfect. Also, since this is a goretex performance (not pro) shell, the fabrick is a little more stiff and noisy. If I didn't get such a great deal on this shell, I probably would have gone with Arc'teryx instead.

Nice For Long Multi-Pitch Climbs
I know this pack is made for biking but the design also makes it great for climbing. In preparing to climb Time Wave Zero (23-pitch. 5.12a, sport climb in El Potrero Chico, Mexico), I realized that I would need to bring 2-3L of water, food, an extea layer, min first aid kit, phone, etc on the climb. After looking at many packs, I found this one to fit the bill perfectly. It was compact, skinny, flexible, had numerous pockets, and held 3Lof water. BTW, my wife and I completed TWZ in 12 hours (up and down).

It's Simplicity Makes It Perfect
This rope bag is not for everyone but it suits our usage perfectly. I wanted a simple, lightweight rope bag to store my rope in and provide a large ground tarp during use. I like putting all my gear, including my rope, in a nice comfortable full-featured backpack for approaches. Therefore, I don't need / want a bulky rope bag so this one fits the bill.
Longevity: I have 3 of these bags and the lettering on the BD logo is peeling off of one. No big deal -- the actual bag is still working 100%.

Our Constant Companions
My wife & I both own these jackets (and the pants). They are our constant companions -- always with us if there is any chance of rain or wind >10mph in the forecast. These are not a heavy duty hard shell by any means so I wouldn't buy them to use on every hiking / backpacking trip because they would probably wear out rather quickly. These are, however, very light-weight but feature-packed rain gear with pit zips, adjustacle wrist closures, cord adjustable waist and hood, and high pockets (better for use with back pack hip belts or climbing harnesses).

Perfect Insulation!
This is a great down jacket. I love the slim fit which makes it not only great for showing off my chiseled physique, but also makes it perfect for layering without being bulky. Admittedly, the fit will not work for everyone but for an avid 5.12 climber like me (5'8" 145lbs w/ long arms) the small fits perfectly!
