Does this come with the hardware to attach it to my bike? Or is it really just the 'cage'? The Shimano Pro Cage and all of our water bottle cages on giantnerd do not come with mounting hardware. Most bikes include water bottle bosses (mounting hardware) to attach the cage to the frame. Let us know how we can help.

Weight Limit on 2.0 Mondial We do not set weight limits on any of our bike due to differences in the purpose that people have for the bike. A lightweight rider could easily destroy one of our bikes if he abuses it by jumping it or similar unintended uses. However, a heavier rider could be perfectly content with the durability of a bike if he uses is solely recreationally and avoids impacts such as curbs and pot-holes and extreme riding. We can't specify a weight limit on a bike because failure (bike and/or components) is caused by impact and abuse, not static loads.
Wear and tear of certain components (suspension forks, saddle, pedals and wheels) may be accelerated by a heavier rider. The bike industry as a whole is one that prides itself on making light bikes and competitive prices. This means most components are designed to work optimally for a rider under 200 pounds. That doesn’t mean a 250 pound rider can’t enjoy a bicycle, is just means extra care such as properly inflated tires and careful riding will need to be adhered to for a better enjoyment of the bicycle.
You may want to also run a wider 700 x 28c tire to further support your weight. Let us know how we can help.

Mountain Bike Pedals for Road Bike? You can definitely run a spd compatible mountain bike pedal like the pd-m324 on a road bike. A spd compatible pedal/shoe/cleat system is much easier to walk in as the cleats are recessed in the sole of the shoes.

It really works!
I first tried Assos Chamois Cream when racing the 12 hours of Mesa Verde mtb race this spring. After putting on close to 90 miles on rough technical slick rock single track I was still in great shape downstairs even though I was riding a hardtail. Assos Chamois cream is now a must for me for any 2+ hour ride!

The best Hydration Pack that I used!
I was lucky enough to break in my Osprey Viper 10 Hydration Pack during the 12 hours of Mesa Verde mtb on the Phil's world trail network between Durango and Cortez, CO. The Course was very action packed so it was tough to drink out of a water bottle so riding with a hydration pack was key. Right from the start I could tell that the Osprey Viper fit better than my previous hydration packs. Osprey designed the Viper/Verve series to keep all the weight/water as close to your back as possible for a better fit. Even better, their integrated hydration bladder fits into a molded sleeve so you don't feel your bladder sloshing around in your pack. The biggest improvement I noticed over my other packs was the magnetic drinking hose attachment. They incorporated a magnetic attachment to the bladder hose so you easily drink and then reattach the hose to the harness. I highly recommend the Osprey hydration packs. They have produced an exceptional product!

Great MTB shoes
I recently picked up a pair of the Dominator 5's. I had a pair of the Dominator 2's that lasted longer than some of my old mountain bikes. They have made some nice improvements to the new version including an improved buckle system as well as teeth in the velcro straps that prevent any slipping. I was able to log a 120 miles plus last week in the desert in the Dominator 5's and they felt great from the start! They are a good investment if you want a great shoe that will last for years.

A MUST HAVE!!!
This multi-tool has saved me from walking out huge distances on my mountain bike. On a recent trip to Arizona, I was mountain biking solo on a remote section of the Black Canyon Trail north of Phoenix. I didn't see a single person on the trail that day. It was just me and the cactus. I was around 15 miles from my car on an out and back ride when my chain snapped. With only a couple of hours of daylight left I wasn't very psyched on my mishap. Fortunately, I had my Crank Brothers multi-tool in my hydration pack and within 10 minutes I was back on my bike, PEDALING!!! I can't say enough good things about this tool. THANK YOU CRANK BROTHERS!

A great Full Suspension ride for going up and down!
The GT Marathon Elite is a great all around XC-race mountain bike for the money! Its 4"+ suspension will eat up just about anything the trail throws at you! It features a solid Shimano SLX drive train, Avid Juicy 3 brakes, Crank Brothers Candy pedals, a Rock Shox Recon 335 air adjustable fork, a Fox Float R air adjustable rear shock, and GT's I-drive suspension that will take the big hits all while reducing pedal bob! All this at a price that won't break the bank and a weight that has you leaving your friends in the dust on climbs!
