Comfortable so far

I got these about half way through the season, so about 2 months ago, and have used them for road biking, and for singletrack. In both instances they held up great, and I could feel the palms of my hands when all was said and done. After a few months of using them the inner leather area is getting a little worn down. Right now there are no drawbacks, but in the future they could possible begin to fray or worse rip. I only give it 4 stars because of the potential that these might only last me a year or 2. But for comfort, and usefulness, they are great, and I would recommend. Hands don't get overly sweaty, and they don't slide around too much when riding.

Thoughts?   I have been researching bikes for a while now, and I keep coming back to this one for style/price/components, but I find it hard lay down this much cheddar for something I haven't ridden before. I was hoping to get the opinion of other people who own this bike. I have a hand me down Trek 820 right now, and I need to make the move soon. I am 6'2" and 230 lbs. Any real world pictures, or experiences would be a huge help in helping me make my decision. Thanks!
