For the money

Bought these pedals to keep my cost down and paired them with the BAMF grappler. They bring me back to the BMX days. For the Price you can really complain unless they fell apart under your feet. After about 15 miles I don’t have any complaints. I will be saving up for a good set of pedals but for now these are fine and will be a great back up set.

INITIAL THOUGHTS

I was in the market for a decent 29er and spent several weeks researching different bikes. I was going back and forth between the Grappler and Overdrive Comp from Diamondback. After I reading the reviews on here and BAMFs facebook I decided to go with the Grappler. My 3 deciding factors were 1) I have always had better customer service with smaller companies from questions to replacement parts. 2) The componentry is fairly decent and not a big difference between the competition in the same price range (most the time better). 3) The bike looks like a BAMF! From order to receiving everything was awesome...Customers service with Giantnerd is awesome, which is a make or break decision for me. I also love the customer chat option. I decided on the free shipping and glad I did, 2 day shipping WTF! Bike was shipped the 14th and I got a knock on my door the 16th. Didn’t get the cool box though, guessing because I didn’t get the pro build? Everything was packed really good, took about 20 minutes to assemble everything then off to my LBS to be tuned...not much adjustment needed at the shop. I haven’t had a chance to bling the bike out with the stickers....don’t know if I want to, looks pretty sik all black. So over the past 4 days I have put about 15 miles on the bike from road to trail and this bike can handle its own! Even though I am 6'3" I think I might have gone with a smaller frame wish I had the chance to ride it before I bought it... but that is the downfall to ordering over the web. I can still throw this bike around under feet with ease being the 22" frame. Over all I rate this bike a 5 out of 5 stars. Bike has awesome handling, good components for the price, and as said before best bang for your buck. I also noticed that my triggers shifters are SRAM X5 instead of the SRAM X4 which is a plus. I will write another review in a couple of months after I had a chance to log a lot more time on the Grappler.
