2009 GT Force 1.0 & Giantnerd - Great bike, great buying experience
I've had my Force 1.0 for two weeks now. I've taken it on a few rides and it is a great bike. I was riding a 1998 GT Backwoods hardtail before the Force. My new Force is a great combination of excellent design, high quality of materials and skilled craftsmanship, topped off with Fox suspension and all Shimano Deore XT components. I really like the rear suspension design, more than other designs from competing manufacturers. This bike is very fun to ride!
My bike arrived 2 days earlier than I expected, via FedEx Ground, and undamaged. The carton had been opened by Giantnerd for inspection and to add the suspension pump I ordered, but it was packed and sealed properly and stayed closed until I opened it. I opted for the factory-direct, rather than Giantnerd's Pro-Build option. No offense, but I wanted my local bike shop to assemble it for me. Since they (LBS) don't sell GT, I went with Giantnerd for the purchase, but I think my LBS does a great job with setup and maintenance so I took the new bike to them.
Thanks GIantnerd for a good price on a great bike and a satisfying buying experience. I will recommend both the bike and Giantnerd to friends.
