The Giantnerd® rewards program is plain and simple: spend money online, in our showroom or over the phone, and you’ll earn points that when accrued past certain milestones, turn into cold hard credit at Giantnerd®. You’ll earn additional points every time you interact with the site as well. Here are the ways you can earn nerdiness points just for being social:

  • reviewing products
  • asking and answering questions
  • uploading photos
  • joining groups
  • adding topics
  • starting and/or commenting on discussions
  • joining alerts
  • making lists
  • sending content to your friends and family
  • using the ShareThis functionality
  • writing and/or editing a Wikinerdia post

Calculating nerd points is simple. For every dollar you spend on regularly priced items (that’s the non-sale stuff), you’ll earn ten (10) points. Additionally, for every dollar you spend on discounted items (that’s the sale stuff), you’ll earn five (5) points. Every point you earn is worth $.01. There are four point levels you can achieve through the Giantnerd® rewards program:

Nanonerd
•    If you’re new to the site, this is you. Start making purchases and interacting with Giantnerd® to work your way up.

Micronerd
•    Earn 5,000 points through the Giantnerd® rewards program and you’ll become a verifiable Micronerd. (5,000 points = $50 to use at Giantnerd®.) Micronerds will earn 25% more points for every activity on the site.

Centinerd
•    Earn 15,000 points through the Giantnerd® rewards program and BAM, you’re a Centinerd. (15,000 points = $150 good at Giantnerd®.) Centinerds will earn 50% more points for every activity on the site.

Giantnerd
•    Earn 50,000 points through the Giantnerd® rewards program and you, my friend, are a GIANTNERD. (50,000 points = $500 in the Giantnerd® store.) Giantnerds will earn 75% more points for every activity on the site.

And that’s that! You scratch our backs, we’ll scratch yours. And don’t worry: our backs are located on our backs and nowhere that might be deemed inappropriate and/or illegal.
