used this a few times before returning it for a better light on sale (bad timing on my part). light is great for being noticed, but as mentioned, isn't good for lighting the way. area of lighting is very narrow and isn't ideal for darker areas.

If you are looking for a headlight to make you visible in night, and ride mostly on lighted streets this will do the job. A nice bonus is the light can be easily removed for use as a flashlight! The mounting is secure and I have had no issues. It does light up the path ahead a bit to get by in between street lights, but I wouldn't recommend using it as your primary light source on unlighted streets. Also, it provides more of a light beam to make you visible from as far as possible, and hence does not illuminate a wide area. I would consider doubling it up with a more power wide-angle light if you ride often on unlighted streets/trails.

For 20 dollars it is not a bad light, it is easy to mount and bright enough to be seen by cars or other bikes from a pretty good distance. However if you are on a bike trail without street lights it does not allow you to see far enough to ride completely safe.
