These frames are WEAK! Bent like tin foil. After only three months of recreational riding the top and bottom tube bent back so far that the front tire was almost touching the bottom. And to top it off the components dont fit properly. They say these frames have a full lifetime warrenty until there is a problem. False advertising. Good thing I have a friend who is an excellent lawyer. Time to start some paperwork. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

So far so good. The Genius Build & packaging rocked. I was able to get it together in 15 minutes including transferring my pedals from my old bike. Took it out on the its first run soon after. The X7 components are sik & the bike is tight - it handles and shifts well. I was worried that the 22" would be too big... not at all. I am 6-2 and this bike feels dead on for me. I had the seat up while heading to the park then lowered it down for the single track.

ok, well I've had my bike for a month and am still stoked on it. I've taken it on quite a few rides near where I live and even took it for a fun tried through the trails of Idyllwild. It handles great, all the components function perfectly and it gets lots of love for the way it looks from other riders. I think one of the things I'm most happy with is the fact that for the $$$ you can't find another 29'er with X-7 components. it's a steal of a deal!

Just got mine and even though it's 27 degrees, I had to take it for a spin...it's a F@#$IN NICE BIKE!!! Someone stole my GF right off my deck (insurance payed for 80%) and I was cursing them, now I'm thankin them because it forced me to buy another bike. Had them build it and beside a little tweaking(coulda been misaligned during shipping) couldn't be happier . Lookin forward to takin it out in warmer weather for a true ride.

Had mine about three months. This is a sweet, sweet ride. Out on the trail, it puts the fear of god into pedestrians and other bikers. It wants to go fast; I let it go fast. People scurry out of the way. Only problem is when I shout "On your left!" some people JUMP TO THE LEFT. Thinking about shouting "No brakes!"

got mine last night, was pretty much assembled and ready to ride. took it out for a quick spin and I am loving it. looking forward to many more miles!

Frame cracked after very slight use. BAMF requires you to have a build receipt to validate the warranty. In actuality the bike is 95% together and they want you to pay someone to put the wheels and handlebars on for you. Seems like a loophole for lousy craftsmanship.

This bike moves fast and is very responsive, the whole bike just feels very smooth and in tune with its components. For the price you wouldnt be disappointed. This is a fun bike. and don't forget a suspension pump...

Just buy it. You will not find a better bike for the money. Climbs like a goat and bombs like it's on rails. Jumpin curbs or carving singletrack, it's just stinkin fun.

I recently purchased my sucker punch and I have to say this bike can take a hit and keep riding. I live in Draper, Utah and fortunately live very close to some amazing rides. I took my new BAMF on a pretty technical ride, mostly down hill and the 29er handled everything I put at it. I even hit a jump and unfortunately endo'd and ate it pretty bad, but the bike held up nicely (can't say the same for the front tire as it went flat or my body), but this bike shifts smooth, is easy to peddle up hill, the Recor shocks I think saved the bike on the landing. Overall, if you want a nice, affordable 29er, I highly recommend the Sucker Punch.

just had to update my review. I just beat the guy who called mtn bikes "dump trucks" and road bikes "cadillacs" in a 24.5 miles road race by 17 bad ass minutes! I guess the Sucker Punch is one hell of a dump truck.

Purchased a Sucker Punch and all I can say is WOW!! This bike kicks ass!! It has been a while since I have riden bikes but once I got on this, the fun all came rushing back. Due to my my size, 6'4" and 265lbs I thought it would be tough to find something comfortable to ride but thanks to the internet and finding 29er bikes, didn't even know they existed, BAMF and Giantnerd it was vey simple to make a decision....THE SUCKER PUNCH. The bike not only looks great, everyone that sees the bike thinks it looks mean and one of my friends said the bike looked "vicious"...for a freakin bike...go figure. The bike is way more than image, it preforms well also. The bike is very fast and handles great especially on dirt with the nano raptors. gears switch effortlessly and the hydraulic brakes can get me to stop on a dime when needed, already had some need for that. Giantnerd is one of the best internet buying experiences I have had and I will surely do business with them again. The Genius build and how it came shipped were fantastic.

Ive only been able to ride this bike a few times, and only a couple times on the trail. But holy sh.. I have never ridden a faster or smooth mountain bike. Maybe if I had 5 Gs to spend I might find a better bike. I bought this bike intending to get back into mountain bike racing after taking about 10 years off. In the meantime, I rode a rode bike but didnt care for the BORING riding and the snobbishness of roadies. Anyway, so far the only race I have had time to do was a triathlon, and the biking was on the road! I didnt expect to win against the aerodynamics and weight of the road bikes that cost thousands of dollars. But I did expect the attitude from some of the riders. I heard things like "riding a mtn bike is like driving a dump truck" and "I would never ride a mtn bike in a road race". Well I took my Bad Ass Mother Effin dump truck and beat over half of the roadies! I hope they felt the Sucker Punch and the middle finger under my seat as I passed them!

If you want a bike that will buck you off like a mean a** bull and keep going while your on the ground crying this is your bike. For real though this is a really nice ride. I've had mine sice late febuary and not only ride trail a couple times a week but I also commute by bike and have gone down hard doing both and the bike keeps shredding. There are a lot of nice bikes out there but to me toughness is number 1 and this bike exels. Also, for the price you can't find a better set of components. But the best thing about the suckerpunch and any other BAMF bike you won't see another on the block so you'll have all the pimp'n to yo self.

Less than 12 hours from my last review customer service called me and addressed the problems. I'm more than happy with their attentive actions. I spoke with Mike and he is very nice, knowledgeable, and understanding. Giantnerd's customer service department is top notch and I do strongly recommend them.

The Sucker Punch is a great bike with good speed and control. I would recommend a smaller than normal frame for freeride or downhill as this is a larger bike due to the 29er tires. For urban-cross, open trails, or service roads this bike kicks a**. The tires are really designed for off-road and if you pick up some urban treads you'd have an incredibly fast mountain bike. I don't know if it's just me but the gear ratio is never right for my riding. I would like slightly larger front chainrings but this ratio might be great for less trained individuals or if you load it down with gear and climbing some serious hills. Which brings me to my next comment on lack of finding a good lightweight sturdy rack that fits the 29er tires and the wider frame with 9 gears and disc brakes.

I got 2 of these bikes because I was so happy with the one I got my girlfriend. Alas not all builds are the same. I'm a certified bike technician and the first one the build was acceptable, with only a few minor adjustments and truing of the wheels. The second bike I received was so poorly built I'm upset I paid anything for the build. I should have done it myself and saved some money. The wheels needed truing, the front axle was not seated properly in the dropouts when they installed the brakes, the front derailleur is not the correct one, derailleur’s needed serious adjustments, the handlebar clamp is not the right one, the left crank arm has fallen off during a ride due to improper torque and lack of lock tight on the bolt, and I don't think they understood what a torque wrench is for. I understand trainees must start somewhere but how does this pass quality control? Someone should be fired or pay reduced because this is not a good representation of Giantnerd's ability. I would advise to save the money and build it yourself or take it to a competent shop because these nerds don't know what they’re doing.

You can't beat the price for the components you get with the bike. Most 29er mountain bikes I've looked into that have hydraulic brakes start around $1,200. I got the pro build and everything went together just fine. If you're looking for a midrange mountain bike and don't want to go broke, this is the ride for you.

This thing gets up and rolling fast. Shifting is seamless and smooth. Bike can handle all I've thrown at it and it looks awesome. I have gotten several compliments on how sweet looking the Sucker Punch is.

When I decided I wanted a new bike I thought about what kind of bike fit my riding style. I ride my bikes like I stole them, fast and furious. I needed a bike that could withstand my 6'2", 240 lb. frame and run over objects and jump curbs like I was being chased by the police. I needed an Urban Assault Bike. I checked out the internet and local bike stores comparing components and pricing. That's when I stumbled across Giantnerd.com and the BAMF Sucker Punch 29er. I thought, "What a beautiful bike! So I bought one. I bought the 22-inch frame and it fits me perfectly. The driveline components are close to top-notch and exceed most bikes that cost hundreds of dollars more. The Rock Shox Dart 3 should be more than adequate for most terrain. I love to get off-road but living on the coast I'm close to long, paved bike trails. The big 29-inch wheels ought to be right at home here.

Dollar for dollar, the Sucker Punch is the best bang for the buck.

Sorry my last review had some funny sizing information, she has the 18'' bike and I would get the 16'' but the sizing chart looks a bit misleading and leaning towards a smaller size than recomended.

Well, I got this bike for my girlfriend and medium fits her well for a her size 5'9.5'' but this not a good fit for me or her if she was riding downhill or jumps. I'm 5'8'' and I would order the small size for myself. If your much smaller then that I wouldn't order a 29er, I just don't see how the xsmall could get much lower with 29 inch tires and front suspension. It is fast, fun, and well put together with pro build. The order was shipped very fast and I would defenatly recomend Giantnerd. The Bamf bike has two things wrong with it: It's claimed to be custom design and built by them in Colorado but it's manufacted in China by Tommaso; and second is thier poor, sleezy, foulmouth marketing. Both these errors I believe are a lack of social responsibility. Basically, it looks any other bike dressed up with some nice components but I think it's one of the best deals around right now and I'm considering buying one for myself.

I've looked all over the internet and can't find any other bike that compares to the Sucker Punch dollar for dollar. can't wait to get mine!

We might be biased about BAMF bikes but you must realize that we ride what we produce. Think of it as being in a band...if you write a ****ty song you have to play it over and over for the rest of the tour (Think Creed). We feel the same way about our bikes. We ride these daily and we don't want to get stuck riding something sub-par for the rest of the year. Anyway, let's forget about Creed and get back to the bikes. We've spent enough time on the BAMF Sucker Punch to know this is our go-to bike in the BAMF line. Our 29er bikes (Grappler and Sucker) both use the same platform (frame) and dress them up with two levels of SRAM components, Truvativ cranks and disc brakes. They are tough, affordable and look great. You can never go wrong with black! Just as Johnny Cash. Of course there are 4-sets of cool decals to keep you busy and make the bike your own.
The BAMF 29er is a fast f**king bike and it loves to roll over the crazy stuff with those big wheels. it feels plush with the Rockshox Dart 3 suspension fork and the larger wheels only add to the comfort (and speed). Click, click the SRAM components rip through the gears precisely and the Truvativ cranks keep the party going.
While the brand is new we can tell you the people behind the brand have spent plenty of time riding, racing, bleeding and working on bikes. Don't ride a glossy magazine ad...ride a real bike. BAMF!

I think I have found a new love (don't tell the misses). The Sucker Punch specs list like a (bicycle spec) smut magazine and address every last carnal desire.

But don't decals and flashy paint make the bike shred the trails better?

I really like the approach BAMF is taking and can't wait to see how the bikes hold up to the image!
